I think I may need to consider getting a stamp of my own. I’ve been trying to think of ways to “sign” prints, I’m currently using a load of square primary coloured stickers but a stamp seems much closer to a real seal (sorry). The only question is will it stick, and for how long.
evrt:
Just got my custom logo stamp and ink pad in! Ironically, Scott Hansen was talking about this on his blog today, plus embossing which I might do for my business cards.
Anyway, got my test prints in yesterday and they look great. Just need one minor adjustment and then I’m ordering final prints. Ordered all of my shipping materials as well. The shop may be opening up as soon as next week!
I don’t know if I would recommend signing photos with a stamp. I actually just tested mine tonight, on a lustre (satin) finished photo and it smeared a little. Even though I am using an archival ink, I’m not planning on using this for photos. I’m really just using it for cards that I mail with the prints, or on packaging, and maybe business cards in the future. Plus it is almost 2” in diameter.
Are you wanting a wax seal? You can get custom stamps for that as well.
