Multidisciplinary Inspiration

With so many great categories of design, it is hard to just focus on one. Which is why this blog will focus on a little bit of everything: architecture, furniture, product design, illustration, various artists, etc. Curated by Brian Everett of EVRT Studio in Kansas City

Grilling Spatulas

I just landed a gig designing some outdoor grilling spatulas for a company. If anyone has complaints or thoughts on current spatulas, or ideas to make them better….  leave them here. I would like to hear from you, and I think it will be interesting to let my blog readers in on the process. Now is your chance to possibly have that amazing spatula you always wanted. :)

  1. rarrmi answered: Most grill accessories are reeeally hard to clean. Not sure if this is more about design or material, but that’s one thought to consider.
  2. ltwp answered: definitely needs to be able to go in the dishwasher
  3. whatshisface answered: I’d like to see the edge of the spatula closer to the sharpness of a knife. Better to slide under stuck food.
  4. aquanetnightmare answered: The food always slides off mid-flip!!
  5. femmebot answered: Storage is usually a problem. Maybe have a telescoping handle so it collapses into a regular spatula
  6. menstrom answered: some way to hang them off the grill/handle
  7. morgandetoi answered: I have yet to find myself the right flexibility of a spatula material
  8. fittythebone answered: I would like one corner to be a thermometer, so I know when the chicken is done without having to buy anything else
