Multidisciplinary Inspiration

With so many great categories of design, it is hard to just focus on one. Which is why this blog will focus on a little bit of everything: architecture, furniture, product design, illustration, various artists, etc. Curated by Brian Everett of EVRT Studio in Kansas City

I’m starting a Mac rumor…
For some reason, it is fun to look at patents. Maybe it is the mystery of trying to decode the lawyer lingo, or the technical drawings, but I can’t stop staring at them.
Anyway, I am going to start an Apple rumor (which might possibly already be a rumor). It looks like the next Mac Books will have larger touch pads that cover the width of the computer. Basically where you currently rest your wrists. The question is whether or not it will be like the current touch pad, or more like a touch screen such as the iPad.
You are probably thinking “how can you rest your wrists on it” because it could cause all kinds of problems. It seems Apple has some technology that allows the computer to tell the difference between when you are wresting your wrists and when you are interacting. You can read more about it if you want, by clicking through. But if you have never looked at a patent before be warned, it can be pretty hard to decipher things.
