Multidisciplinary Inspiration

With so many great categories of design, it is hard to just focus on one. Which is why this blog will focus on a little bit of everything: architecture, furniture, product design, illustration, various artists, etc. Curated by Brian Everett of EVRT Studio in Kansas City

Ok, I’m staying away from political talks today (and all together for that matter) because I’m sure that will be covered in length all over Tumblr today.
So let us talk about October Fest instead! Here we have the Hopworksfiets Bike Bar built by Metrofiets in Portland, OR of course. What is there to say about it, other than it is possibly the coolest bicycle ever made! The lines for the beer are cooled, there is a counter top with a tap, a cage in back for carrying pizzas, and it even comes with a sweet retro radio. I just wouldn’t want to be the guy that has to pedal that thing.

I just finished this off. Boulevard really does make some of the best beer I’ve had. Their Smokestack series is phenomenal. Probably my favorite beer is either a Wheat or a Stout. Anyway, this Double Wit (a Belgium wheat) was excellent. And the label is pretty awesome as well. The yellow is a stamped gold foil.

Beautiful label for a fantastic beer. Bailey’s Chocalate Bar, Chocolate Ale distributed by O’Fallon Brewery and label designed by TOKY
I was actually just at Bailey’s Chocolate Bar last weekend and I wish I would have known about this beer. Although I did have a Chocolate Stout Shake (which is unbelievable!) and a Black and Red (Chocolate Stout on top of Framboise). If you live in or around St. Louis you have to check that place out.

Awesome collection of Beer packaging.
By the way, if any of you appreciate dark heavy beers, you need to try a Great Divide: Yeti some time.  It makes ALL other stouts seem weak and trivial
