Toronto CB2 Planned

I know nothing about the Big Bop in Toronto, but apparently it was quite the club for a long time, and sounds like a historic corner as well. Now a CB2 store is in the works to replace it. The pre-construction has begun: no word yet on an opening date.

I’m still hoping one day they will say “oh, we work with a designer in KC so maybe we should put a store there.” But I don’t think that will be happening anytime soon :)

World Map Painting

Another great world map. A reproduction painting from a Bollywood artist, once responsible for creating movie posters and sets. Sadly, artists like that are no longer needed in the industry. The run is limited to 576 prints.

Cypress Row

My new print available through CB2. A massive 48” square print, and I am really excited about it. A black & white photograph taken with a Holga, and added color in post. I wasn’t crazy about adding the color at first, but they wanted to see that. And I can honestly say I’m happy with how it turned out.

On a sad note, I just found out a few days ago the farmer has cut these trees down. I take a photo of these every time I go home; it is an understatement to say I will miss them.

Last night we stopped into CB2 to check out the work of Photographer & Industrial Designer Brian Everett. This was the first time I’ve ever know the artist behind the work for-sale at a nationwide store and evrt, It looked awesome! Congratulations!

I owe you for this one Jamie! A million thank yous! The pictures are awesome, wish I could have been there!

As some of you know, fellow Tumblr Brian Everett created some prints that are now being sold at CB2, and since there isn’t a CB2 in Kansas City where Brian is located Jamie and I went to check them out and take some photos for him. They look great and are displayed prominently in the store, and it’s very cool to see something like this from someone you know and respect. So congratulations to Brian and hopefully he can make it out this way to see them for himself!

You guys are the best! Seriously! A million thank yous, and the photos are fantastic! I am eternally grateful, and hopefully I can make it out to NY very soon!

Patterned City

Finally, my new prints are available at CB2. It feels like it has been forever since the deal was sealed, but they finally released today. Go check them out. $149 for the set of three. Two of the buildings are KC buildings, which is very cool.
