Everything All The Time

About

Multidisciplinary Inspiration

With so many great categories of design, it is hard to just focus on one. Which is why this blog will focus on a little bit of everything: architecture, furniture, product design, illustration, various artists, etc. Curated by Brian Everett of EVRT Studio in Kansas City

Smoke by Bevk Perovic for Vertigo Bird
Even though these have been passed around on the blogging circuit already, I wanted to post them. To me, these capture the attention of a child-at-heart like myself, yet remaining simple and modern. Would look great in a kid’s room also.

Sarus Series by David Weeks for Ralph Pucci
Mr. Weeks took his inspiration for the series from the shape of the Crane (which is clear). It resulted in a very simple form, but elegant. Constructed of powder coated aluminum and nickel plated steel, in Brooklyn, NY.

Labware floor lamps by Benjamin Hubert Studio
Despite the hanging lamps in this photo, these are intended as floor lamps because they are very large. All constructed of mouth blown glass, available early 2010. Benjamin is a designer to watch, as a lot of his work has been rounding the design blogs lately. Lots more photos on his website.

Document Light by Gaby Crohn
There have been a lot of DIY designs popping up over the past couple years. Here is another, involving your old documents becoming the shade for a lamp.

Giuko in Orbit designed by Itre
Yesterday’s pendant was technically stunning and brilliant, while this one is just simply beautiful. I will always love the basic frosted glass globe. Throw a ring of wood around it, and I’m sold

Shade designed by Christopher Moulder
Maybe one of the most stunning pendants I have ever seen. The two conical shaped aluminum pieces carry the electrical current to the small bulbs.

I find these lamps designed by Studio JuJu really interesting. I guess I have a thing for brightly colored objects, but especially funky and conceptual lighting. The one below is just as interesting.

The Eclipse Light designed by Keiji Ashizawa, made from one piece of steel sheet metal. Really nice idea to bounce the light off the surface.

John Beck Paper and Steel - John lives here in Saint Louis and is producing some great steel furniture, albeit pricey but you are getting a one of kind table. Check out his site.
I love that guys work, and I’ve been following him for a while. I love his fireplace surrounds
