How NYC Subway Cars Are Built
This is an interesting video if you like to know how things are manufactured. Otherwise, it might be boring. The cars are built in Brazil, and it always impresses me when things of this size are manufactured, because I know what it takes to manufacture small items, and that alone is a headache.
For you Industrial Designers
In the video you will see multiple types of welding. One that I deal with on a daily basis is Resistance welding (or spot welding). Two pieces of metal are fused together using electrodes that pass electricity through the metal enough to melt the metal and fuse it together. The one they use in the video is one of the larger ones I have ever seen.
