Last night we stopped into CB2 to check out the work of Photographer & Industrial Designer Brian Everett. This was the first time I’ve ever know the artist behind the work for-sale at a nationwide store and evrt, It looked awesome! Congratulations!
I owe you for this one Jamie! A million thank yous! The pictures are awesome, wish I could have been there!

As some of you know, fellow Tumblr Brian Everett created some prints that are now being sold at CB2, and since there isn’t a CB2 in Kansas City where Brian is located Jamie and I went to check them out and take some photos for him. They look great and are displayed prominently in the store, and it’s very cool to see something like this from someone you know and respect. So congratulations to Brian and hopefully he can make it out this way to see them for himself!
You guys are the best! Seriously! A million thank yous, and the photos are fantastic! I am eternally grateful, and hopefully I can make it out to NY very soon!

I have never shared anything that I have designed through my current job, mostly because it is nothing ground breaking or worth sharing. I took my current job mostly for the technical experience I would gain. However, since I started here 2 years ago, we are literally trying to change this company around from the ground up, which is a great experience to be a part of.
We have changed the company logo, and all of the packaging (even though I am not a fan of the packaging at all, the owner will tell you it is the best in the market). Anyway, after a long awaited introduction, some of the first projects I worked on are now available. I developed the hook products above from the ground up, and did all of the modeling for the die casting and engineering of the product. They were developed specifically to hide any, and all hardware from the front of the product, once installed. They are not exactly my style, but sometimes you have to design things you don’t personally enjoy.
You can find these hooks through Amazon or Target online. Currently we are doing a test with Bed Bath & Beyond as well with select stores. In the KC area, you can find them in the 119th store, and on Shawnee Mission.

One more very quick thing. I used to make a lot of patterns for an old job. I made one yesterday quickly, with some left over illustration bits. Feel free to download it and use it for whatever. Click through for the link….
(if you use it, I would like to see what you use it for just out of curiosity. I’m not asking for credit)
