Multidisciplinary Inspiration

With so many great categories of design, it is hard to just focus on one. Which is why this blog will focus on a little bit of everything: architecture, furniture, product design, illustration, various artists, etc. Curated by Brian Everett of EVRT Studio in Kansas City

The other day I posted a satelite image of the inauguration.  This photo is even more amazing.  It shows the people on the other side of the river, not quite yet assembled.

Satellite view of the inauguration.  The amazing thing is, that doesn’t even show the masses of people across the river.

Here’s the thing that is already frustrating me….

I hear a lot of people around me talking about how anti-climatic the inauguration was.  What were you people expecting?  “It was pretty anti-climatic.”  “Maybe a sign of things to come?”

It is a legal swearing-in ceremony of a President.  The economy and nation are not going to instantly turn around because Obama is now President.  It is going to be a long hard road of recovery.

My greatest concern over the next couple of months, is whether or not Obama and his staff get credit, where credit is due.  All of the McCain supporters, Media, and people who made a last minute decision to vote for Obama, are all going to be at his throat if something doesn’t work out the way they think it should.  Talk about being in one of the most powerful positions in the world, and at the same time, toughest. The first black President, taking office at one of the worst times.  Historic proportions of that measure, takes equal amounts of support.  Let’s not be fair-weather-fans, and crucify the new coach because his first press conference didn’t give the “impression” of him being a strong leader.

My hope is that everyone really gives this a chance.  Don’t be so negative already.  Would you want to be in his shoes?  Our country is not going to be fixed in days, weeks, and maybe not even months.  So don’t loose faith…..

Obama’s new ride….
5 inch thick windows…. need I say more?
*edit* obviously, the car is not completely finished yet, and this is an early photo that was leaked.  The finished car will not be so ghetto looking

I had not seen either of these poster designs yet, and they might be my favorite out of all of them.
