Vancouver Olympic Podium by James Lee & Leo Obstbaum The podium was finally unveiled, and wow it is stunning. Great work by Industrial Designer James Lee. Each podium is made from over 200 pieces of wood, with a sheet of white acrylic on top to mimic the snowy Coast Mountain Range. Lee also helped develop the trays on which the awards will be presented. Click through to see more. (via core77)   hi-res image

Here is the official poster for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics: there are two halves, and the bottom image is a detail. This is a really great poster in my mind, especially after seeing all of the detail. There appears to be a lot of controversy over it (the maple leaf being split), but none the less, I think it is pretty spectacular. EDIT: click through to visit the site and download a hi res image
