About

Multidisciplinary Inspiration

With so many great categories of design, it is hard to just focus on one. Which is why this blog will focus on a little bit of everything: architecture, furniture, product design, illustration, various artists, etc. Curated by Brian Everett of EVRT Studio in Kansas City

Reliefs by Ron Van Der Ende
Ron creates absolutely amazing relief paintings. He uses reclaimed pieces of wood with different colors and textures to ultimately create a very dimensional piece of art. You really should have a look at some of his work, including his older work from 2000 - 2001.

This sort of reminds me of Jasper Johns’ ‘Grey Alphabet’

Really, really great portrait illustrations from L Filipe dos Santos. Of course, the goofy illustration of Dwight helps gain my attention, besides the fact they are just really well done images.

Darren Booth is quite the talented guy.  I love his style of painting, and he has some pretty amazing hand lettering as well.  Check out more on his website.

Stef Kardos, whom is a Disney artist, creates miniature paintings on his iphone using the Brushes app.  This is awesome, and yet again showing off the endless capabilities of the iphone.
I can see a program like this being one heck of a tool for designers, so they can sketch out their ideas on the spot.  Especially for Industrial Designers.  All the more reason why Apple actually needs to create a tablet book.
Here is a pretty cool speed painting video from Stef

Scott Listfield’s work is really amazing.  It’s humorous, yet obviously technically good.  Plus, with a domain name like Astronaut Dinosaur, how can you do wrong?
At the Laundromat With Boba Fett is my favorite

Really amazing paintings from this RISD graduate.  Normally I’m not big on abstract work, it has never been of interest to me.  But his work is definitely something I would hang on my wall.
