I love this series of press photos taken by Åse Holte, for Kings of Convenience’s latest album. Her other work is just as impressive. Click through for her website, where there are quite a few more images from this series.

Cypress Row
My new print available through CB2. A massive 48” square print, and I am really excited about it. A black & white photograph taken with a Holga, and added color in post. I wasn’t crazy about adding the color at first, but they wanted to see that. And I can honestly say I’m happy with how it turned out.
On a sad note, I just found out a few days ago the farmer has cut these trees down. I take a photo of these every time I go home; it is an understatement to say I will miss them.
You can buy my print here or by visiting your local store. $249

Warsaw Series by Szymon Roginski
This entire series from Szymon is worth looking through. Basically, check out everything this guy has because he is good. Poland Synthesis is especially good.

Love this photograph from Mike Sinclair, an architectural and fine art photographer here in Kansas City. I especially love his “City Beautiful” series.

Pheasant by Paul Octavius
When I was home for Thanksgiving I got a chance to hunt pheasant on two early mornings. It was a let down, and this photo above is pretty much the only pheasant I will be seeing this year.
Paul’s work is always amazing to look at. Do yourself a favor and click through to see the rest of this series of images.

Woodward Avenue, Detroit 1917 from Shorpy
This image may not look like much at first, but it gives you a glimpse of what Detroit used to be like. To get the full effect, you need to take a look at the full sized image: just click through.
Also, if you have never done so, you need to bookmark the Shorpy website. They have a great collection of vintage images, as well as new ones daily.

Landscapes by Marcin Sacha
Landscape photography is one of my favorite genres of photography. There are those whom are good at it, and then there are those who are extremely dedicated to it and their resulting imagery is mind blowing. Marcin is the latter.

We made a quick trip out of town this past weekend to Rocheport & Boonville, MO. It was nice to get away, and enjoy the last bit of fall leaves. Rocheport is tiny, but holds tons of character. And Boonville’s downtown is pretty impressive really. Anyway, I thought I would share some photos of some vintage finds from a store in Rocheport.

Why I didn’t buy this little soap box, I will never know. I majorly regret it.

Great title, love the cover. There was an interesting version of Don Quixote next to it.

Love the old illustrations on these Hat boxes.

I don’t know what Plug Slice is, but that little Tin is awesome! I also regret not buying some vintage maps from Canada, Indiana, Minnesota, etc…
