Albert Exergian created this great set of minimalist film and television posters as a personal project. You’ll find these and many more on his blog, and his commercial portfolio is equally impressive (and much more ornate).

Barn Owl limited edition silkscreen print by Beethings
I have all kinds of artwork hanging in my house. I don’t really need anything else, but I’m having a very hard time restraining myself from buying this. Not that an owl is anything new, but that farm scene underneath is just awesome.
You can buy this on Etsy for $20. 10” x 14” print.

Here is the official poster for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics: there are two halves, and the bottom image is a detail. This is a really great poster in my mind, especially after seeing all of the detail. There appears to be a lot of controversy over it (the maple leaf being split), but none the less, I think it is pretty spectacular.

Check out this awesome poster my wife just bought me! Great design + awesome band. This one is getting matted and framed, and going above my vintage camera collection.

Hand drawn posters are all the rage lately, and this one is fantastic. I especially love the hand drawn pattern. Poster design by Will Bryant

I love band posters. It is almost an obsession. While I don’t physically own that many (only one actually, of my favorite band Broken Social Scene) I am constantly searching for cool ones.
I ran into Tad Carpenter’s website the other day by accident. I don’t even remember how. It was then I realized I had seen many of his posters before and I love his style. I was even more surprised to find he was from Kansas City. Take a look at his website, I’m sure you will like at least one thing on there. My favorite is this Spoon poster.

Kansas City continues to surprise me with its Art / Design / Architecture scene.
