Everything All The Time

About

Multidisciplinary Inspiration

With so many great categories of design, it is hard to just focus on one. Which is why this blog will focus on a little bit of everything: architecture, furniture, product design, illustration, various artists, etc. Curated by Brian Everett of EVRT Studio in Kansas City

2010 Forest Calendar by Valerie Jar
Valerie has a nice little 2010 calendar for sale through her Etsy account, with 12 different animals. It is simple, yet well done. Printed on French Paper.
Valerie also runs a great little blog called Fancy Frills. I always feel really manly after saying that :)

Baseball by Tatsuro Kiuchi
It was hard to pick just one illustration from Tatsuro. His work is really amazing. He blurs the lines between traditional and digital work: honestly I am not sure which it is. Probably a combination of both. He has a different view point of things, than I have seen from anyone else. Really a great eye. I’m glad he switched from Biology to become an illustrator. You can see more of his work on his flickr page here.

Art supplies….

How are Artists these days supposed to make any money selling Art, when Art supplies cost so ridiculously much? No wonder good painters sell works for thousands! :)

I went to the local Art supply store to buy all of the materials to turn this into a limited run of block prints. Now I definitely have to sell quite a few prints in order to make my money back, just on the supplies! Geesh…

Anyway, hopefully I will get the block print done soon (soon in my time frame is a month). They will be signed and numbered.

In other news: I’ve convinced my wife to get a Tumblr blog :) Actually, it was mostly her idea. So we have been thinking of a name, which we now have, and soon I will put the blog together for her. Will let you know when it is up and running.

(Warning, shameless self promotion post.) I’m pretty excited to announce that this piece I did a while back is now available for purchase, as an archival pigment print, in 3 sizes at 20x200. Yay, for affordable art!
Congrats! That is great news, and a beautiful print!
By the way, it is not shameless self promotion, it is very proud of yourself promotion!

The Park Print @ CB2

Just found out my print is one of the top 10 selling SKUs in the entire current CB2 collection!  ;)

CB2 has released their new catalog, of which includes my “The Park” image I have mentioned before.  I really love CB2.  Their style is right up my alley, and it is very affordable, yet better quality than any IKEA stuff.
Click the image to buy my print, or check out the rest of their new items here

When I was young I was lucky enough to be a part of a German student exchange program.  I got to stay with a German family for a month, and visit different areas of the country.  This print by Evan Hecox brings back memories….
