Everything All The Time

Multidisciplinary Inspiration

With so many great categories of design, it is hard to just focus on one. Which is why this blog will focus on a little bit of everything: architecture, furniture, product design, illustration, various artists, etc. Curated by Brian Everett of EVRT Studio in Kansas City

Recycling Frame by Matteria
A simple and great idea. Something I definitely could use, considering how many times I forget to take my reusable bags to the store with me, which leaves me with a stock pile of Whole Foods paper bags.

Stitched Table by Uhuru
Uhuru is making a lot of waves in the furniture world, since its founding in 2004. Their products are generally made of recycled materials, environmentally friendly materials, and to top things off are handmade to order. Built in Red Hook, Brooklyn
The Stitched Table is pretty amazing; combining a giant slab of Walnut with Seafoam green steel base and “stitches” holding the slab together. It seems to be transcending Nakashima, but in the more modern sense.

Tin Can Lids by Jack Bresnahan
I like any idea that reuses material, especially if they take it a step further by making the other materials environmentally friendly as well. Jack has designed some very basic biodegradable plastic lids for turning tin cans into functional objects. There are 5 other lids besides the 4 above.

A collection of 25 home furnishings made from re-purposed materials.  Some are great, some are not so great.  My favorite is above.
